Coming soon.....Trip report to Doodsagar
Ah atlast, I am able to open blogspot.com from my Laptop. Had some spyware problem becauase of which i couldnt update my blog intime...anyways not too late to update this section....
So i had this dream of shooting passing train infront of Doodsagar falls...had seen this before in some email-forwards...felt i could get some amazing shots...
I was in my native during Ganesh festival....Enjoyed a lot...This is my favourite festival...
I had plan to visit Hampi but plan got changed....me and my friend Raghu who is my neighbour thought we would visit Doodsagar instead...tried finding hard for the details like how to reach the place but in vain. Between Doodsagar is beautiful falls situated at Karnataka-Goa border.
Thought we would take risk and started our journey on 5th September. We left our place early in the morning around 5'o clock and reached Railway station around 5.30. We planned to catch Rani Chennamma Express from Dharwad till Londa. It was cold misty day that day and lovely weather.
We reached Londa around 8.30AM...we realised that there were no trains from Londa to Doodsagar after 7AM. The only train that leaves from Londa to Doodsagar is Castlerock Passenger which leaves early in the morning. So we had no other options left but to catch hold of Bus from Londa to Molam, then Molam to Kolam and then Kolam to Doodsagar.
Weather in Kolam is terrible. So hot and humid. When we got down to Kolam we realised Doodsagar is around 14km from Kolam and the only means of vehicle is bikes. And to take the bike for rent you have to shell out 400 Bucks which sounded crazy 14km and 400 Bucks nay....
We thought we would trek 14km...and we started this trek journey around 12PM...The path is simple just follow the railway track which passes through deep jungle...tunnels...bridges...and finally the doodsagar falls...
